Year 3 & 4 Production of ‘Fee Fie Fo Fum’

Well what an exciting, jam packed term it has been for year 3 and 4. Not only have they had lots of fantastic learning opportunities but they have also been able to entertain us all with their marvellous production of Fee Fie Fo Fum. To 

World Book Day

This day was another incredible example of the creativity and imagination within our parents and children – it was so inspirational to meet as a whole school on Thursday Morning and celebrate the majority in costume (staff included!) Thank you, as always, for making lifetime 

February’s ‘Book of the Month’

Thank you to everyone who took part in February’s ‘Book of the Month’ creative challenges. We were overwhelmed by the response and so very impressed with the level of artistic talent within our school! A special thank you also to those who attended our Open 

Ilminster Art Gallery Exhibition

It was so wonderful to visit Ilminster Art Gallery to look at the Artworks exhibited from not just SPJS, but other local schools too. I must say, our children’s work was stunning and we are so proud of all of them for their continued efforts 

Year 5 & 6 Production of ‘Hoodwinked’

We would like to praise every child in Year 5 & 6 who contributed to a wonderful production of the Robin Hood themed play ‘Hoodwinked’. We thank parents/carers for providing costumes and for their help in learning lines. Year 2 from the Infant school joined 

YTFC Tournament, Thursday 23rd November

Two teams from Year 5 and 6 headed to Yeovil Town Football Club to play in the U11s Cup. It was a wonderful opportunity to play on the YTFC astro. Both teams faced tricky fixtures, but were able to show huge improvements in their play 

Netball Tournament at Westfield Secondary school on Thursday 9th November

Our Year 6 players enjoyed 4 matches on Thursday evening – they demonstrated good positional play, winning 3 matches and losing 1. Overall, they came 2nd which was a great result. A special mention to the defence teamwork between Oscar & Dylan and a shooting 

Harvest Festival on Wednesday 1st November 2023

Thank you to those parents who joined us to celebrate Harvest – we were overwhelmed with the support and are currently revising our thoughts on venue to accommodate more parents in the future! A huge thank you to our children who spoke and sang so

Link school visit on Tuesday 10th October We were extremely excited to invite the Head teacher & Year 6 Class Teacher of Riverside Primary & Nursery School to our school on Tuesday. They started with a school tour and then Miss Walker joined Year 6
