Executive Headteacher’s Welcome Message

South Petherton Junior School is a high-achieving, happy, vibrant and forward-thinking school where children excel both academically and socially. Our eager learners have a genuine thirst for knowledge, and our dedicated staff team work tirelessly to ensure every child reaches their full potential. We set high standards and expect the best because we believe every child deserves it.

With over 20 years of experience in primary education, I am deeply committed to creating an environment where children thrive. My journey has taken me through every year group from Pre-School to Year 6, and through a range of leadership roles supported by NPQH and NPQEL qualifications. These experiences have shaped my belief in inclusive, high-quality education that empowers pupils and supports families.

Our vision for achieving the very best is made possible by the incredible team around the school. I am proud to work alongside Miss Charlotte White, our Pastoral Deputy Headteacher and SENCo, and Mrs Ali Chapple, Senior Lead at the Junior School. Their expertise, care and leadership are instrumental in shaping our school’s success.

We are also fortunate to be part of a wider partnership team with South Petherton C of E Infants and Pre-School, whose collaboration and shared values strengthen our provision and enrich the opportunities available to our children. Together, we are united in our mission to nurture confident, curious and capable learners who are ready to embrace the future.
