Fundraising and Charity Work

SPJA (South Petherton Junior Association) is currently a small band of parents, Governors and staff who want to support the school & all the children that attend.

The school’s aim is to ask for no more that £10 as a minimum contribution for future class or school trips. To make this a possibility, the SPJA has therefore pledged to fund the shortfall….This means they need your help!

Help may be in the form of the following – attending meetings, offering ideas, lending time to help at events or just making a financial contribution. The committee will update all parents/carers via newsletters or ParentPay.

Cake Sale, Friday 28th February

Thank you to everyone who contributed baked goods for our cake sale, and to everyone who supported the event and bought a cake. We raised an amazing £261.09! The money will be used to buy plants and seeds for our school garden. This event was organised entirely by our Head Students and Heads of Year, and we are incredibly proud of all of their hard work.

Quiz Night at the Brewers Arms, Sunday 16th February 2025

Thank you to everyone who attended the Quiz Night held at the Brewers Arms on the 16th February; it was an incredible success and we raised an amazing £450 to spend on extra-curricular activities for the school! Thank you, as always, to the PTA for all their hard work organising the event.

Christmas Fair on Friday 13th December 2024

Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Fair this year, and congratulations to all of the raffle winners. A final total of how much we raised will be revealed shortly!

Halloween School Disco on Tuesday 22nd October 2024

A huge thank you to our Fundraising team who planned a spooky Halloween themed Disco for the whole school - we are pleased to share the news that they raised £150. A particular thank you to those parents who helped on the night and, Euphoric Disco, DJs Damien and Daryl, who gave their time freely.

Red Nose Day on Friday 15th March 2024

Thank you to everyone who donated – we raised the grand total of £127.11. Well done!
