Fundraising and Charity Work at SPJS

SPJA (South Petherton Junior Association) is currently a small band of parents, Governors and staff who want to support the school & all the children that attend.

The school’s aim is to ask for no more that £10 as a minimum contribution for future class or school trips. To make this a possibility, the SPJA has therefore pledged to fund the shortfall….This means they need your help!

Help may be in the form of the following – attending meetings, offering ideas, lending time to help at events or just making a financial contribution. The committee will update all parents/carers via newsletters or ParentPay.

Christmas Fair 9th December 2023

We would like to thank our wonderful band of Christmas Elves who worked behind the scenes planning, preparing and running stalls on Friday evening; a particular mention to Head Elves Mr & Mrs Carp who organised the Raffle!
This was a joint Junior & Infant fundraising event, with entertainment from choirs in both schools; a special shout out to every member of the Junior choir, Wow!
We thank every parent/carer who provided Tombola/stall items, purchased Raffle tickets, and attended the event at St Peter & St Paul’s and the Blake Hall. We have had confirmation from Mr Carp, PTGA Treasurer, that the event raised approximately £3000. This means that each school will receive approximately £1300 – what incredible news! We plan to use this to fund a whole school enrichment event in the Spring Term – watch this space!
